End of Year Compliance & Grades
We know that the end-of-school-year time can be busy and confusing for parents. This page tells you what you need to know for successfully getting all of your required documents submitted to us. By using the links below, you will be able to fill out and submit all required documents online, submit any additional supporting documents, and submit your renewal application for the fall.
Deadline to Submit Grades:
12th grade: 5/15
9th-11th grade: 5/25
8th grade & below: 7/31
What You Need to Submit to Us:
- One Accountability Compliance Form
We just need one form submitted for your family, NOT one per student - One progress report for EACH student
For students in grades 9-12, use the High School Progress Report
For students in 8th grade and below, use the Non-High School Progress Report
For special needs students on a certificate track, use the Special Needs Progress Report
High school only: When completing your Progress Report, we need additional documentation for any high school credit courses requiring honors/AP credit, and grade sheets from the instructors for classes taken at co-ops. See handbook for details. Within the High School Progress Report, you can upload a PDF document containing this additional documentation. No honors docs = No honors credit
Dual Enrollment: We MUST either have grades sent to us by the dual enrollment coordinator OR we must have a transcript from the college to award DE credit. If the transcript does not show the numerical grade, have the dual enrollment coordinator at the college contact us with the numerical grade. - Renewal Application: Your current membership expires on July 31st, and there is a late fee if we receive your renewal application after August 15th.
We Don’t Need Anything Else
Please do not send us samples of work. You ARE required by law to keep these records on file at home, but HEA does not need or keep this information.
Keep Copies At Home Of Grades, Attendance Logs, Lesson Plans, Etc.
You are required by law to maintain copies of your children’s attendance logs, grades, lesson plans and samples of work. You should always be able to easily access your copies of required homeschool documentation.
Transcript Requests
These are processed in the order we receive them. Summer is our busiest time of the year, therefore transcript requests take longer to process than usual. During the months of June-August, please allow up to 2 weeks, so plan ahead and request early. Current HEA Student Transcript requests – $10; Rush requests – $20. Click here to request a transcript.
Thank you for another great year with HEA. We are honored to partner with you in your homeschooling journey, and we look forward to many more years to serve you well.
